 Rudely Interrupted One of Australia’s more uniqu­e independent rock acts, touring and performing their brand of pitch perfect pop-rock anthems across the Globe..

In their 20th year together this group of whacky rockers have independently achieved 14 international tours in 11 different countries, recorded 11 studio releases, won a Cannes Award, Top 20 hit in Luxembourg, received an AFI Nomination for their self titled Rock Documentary. In fact Rudely Interrupted have performed over 580 shows in their time together. Currently the band have HProduction Co and film crew following their every move documenting and covering the bands history and ongoing rock n roll escapades together.

In 2008 Rudely Interrupted were the first independent band to receive an invitation to perform at the United Nations in New York City, the tour to the US Canada and the UK was filmed and premiered nationally on Australia’s ABC TV 1 to one of the highest rating doco’s of the year and followed by Rohans’ appearance on Australia’s much loved national ABC TV music trivia hit show Spicks & Specks. 

Now it’s 2026 and Rudely Interrupted have a brand new record ‘Emergency’ and a new record label, Cheersquad Records, These songs are a step out from our past, we try to push ourselves musically and we love that it’s out in the Universe.. “We’re all about our music, it’s our music, that brings us opportunity, “I’m proud of our history together, performing all over the world and still writing new music. The album is called ‘Emergency’. ‘We love these songs and the work we put into writing and recording! It’s a little different, but Rudely Interrupted are in there somewhere‘ says Burnside.

The band have created a path for their critically acclaimed music worldwide and over the years Rudely Interrupted have endured a few life challenges, line up challenges and surviving a brain aneurysm, the Rudes are now armed with a new album. ‘It’s been an incredible gift back performing with the band after the aneurysm’ says Rohan, ‘Having a new record label Cheersquad Records’ and continuing to have a musical life and connection to the world through our music means more than ever to us all’.
